20 acres for rent in beautiful Harbor Country, Michigan!
We have a 28 acre farm in SW Michigan and are renting 20 acres to an organic farmer. We have had a certified organic rye crop the past 2 years and are seeking someone who will farm our land with organic and sustainable practices. Since we bought the property in 2010 we have not had any RoundUp or harmful chemicals and the field has been fallow 2 of the past 5 years. We fertilized with organic chicken manure 2 years ago and spread hi-cal lime last year. Hoping for the right individual to offer us a fair price! email@example.com

The Leelanau Conservancy just launched a long-awaited website designed to connect farmers with available farmland. The program called Farmer to Farmer (f2fmi.com) also allows landowners to promote their property to prospective growers. Similar to FarmLink programs in other states, Farmer to Farmer is a new take on farmland access and support.
Farmer to Farmer also provides an agricultural job-seeker board to connect growing farms with a qualified labor pool. The project is a partnership of the Leelanau Conservancy, the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy, MSU Extension, and Taste the Local Difference. For the moment, Farmer to Farmer is focused only on Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Kalkaska and Manistee ...

This is the "square peg" ideal for someone in West Michigan, who may not be ready yet for a full scale enterprise, but wants to work good land and needs a site. Use of my land is FREE to the right project. I am as much about growing community as I am about growing food. Share it around if you like. I will entertain any serious, practical, proposal. skabungus.blogspot.com/

Our farm consists of 120 acres south of Lansing. About 80 are tillable. Fenced and cross-fenced. Good water. Currently we are mixed-power with Suffolk Punch horses and a tractor. We are a grass based operation with cattle and sheep. We produce our own hay for winter feeding and sale. There is a 5-6 acre area inside a slope fence that would lend itself to vegtable/fruit production. Farmhouse and barns, woodlots, and some pond/wet areas. Our ground has not had any chemicals applied for over seven years. We would like to transition stewardship to organic minded family or families. Would like to sell 'as is' , complete with stock and equip. if possible. We will have...
