South Lansing Urban Gardens (SLUG), a program of South Lansing Community Development Association (SLCDA), is seeking a summer urban garden intern to increase the availability of affordable fresh fruits and vegetables among residents who face food insecurity. We grow year-round in a greenhouse, hoop house, and open air plots. We grow and donate healthy food, teach a variety of gardening classes, and support those already growing in our community. The internship requires 20-25 hours a week for approximately 14 weeks, from mid-May through August. Interns have flexibility to schedule hours around classes. We offer a $2,000 stipend and weekly seasonal produce baskets.

 Farm, a regenerative mixed livestock and vegetable farm in SE Michigan is seeking volunteers / collaborators for the 2021 growing season.  Primary responsibilities are assistance with vegetable production and livestock maintenance.  Opportunity to develop your own project if desired.  We are raising guinea hogs, mixed herd of cattle, meat and egg chickens, and heritage turkeys.  Also have a small apiary, sugar bush, and cultivated and wildcrafted medicinal herbs.  Vegetables are produced on a small scale maybe a half acre plus a small hoop house.  This is a volunteer position with farm products and experience as the compensation.  If the helper wants to produce their own vegetables or wildcraft herbs......
