February 5, 2018 @ 2:20 PM

Urbandale Farm and the Lansing Urban Farm Project are now in the process of recruiting for their 2018 apprenticeship program. This is a 6-month, hands-on program of training in urban agriculture. Apprentices will learn how to raise and market a wide variety of vegetables, flowers and herbs within an urban enviroment.

This year we are looking for 3-4 individuals who already have a little farming experience, but who want to further develop their skills and farm in an urban setting.  A small stipend will be available to each of the apprentices selected.

As the attached announcement/ flyer explains, there will be three informational meetings – January 15th, January 25th and February 10th.  The meetings will provide program details, answer questions, and hand out application forms. Feel free to put this announcement on your Facebook page, tell your friends about our program and email anyone you think might be interested.  RSVPs preferred.
