Article Archives > Local Food for Large School Districts

16 Aug 2013

School Food FOCUS, a national group of K-12 school districts, is seeking information about fruits and vegetables that are regionally grown and processed in the Upper Midwest (in a region that runs from Omaha to Detroit).  As a part of that process, they are seeking responses to their Request For Information from suppliers of fresh-cut and frozen produce.

In addition to Grade A product, they are interested in information about the availability and pricing of cosmetically imperfect “seconds”.  The deadline for responses is August 30.

A separate RFI for the provision of local produce to the Chicago Public Schools is available here.
